What is a cookie?
A cookie is a very small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent
to your browser from FacultyCentral and stored on your computer's hard drive. These cookies allow you to move
from page to page at FacultyCentral site without having to sign in again on each page. When you sign out of
FacultyCentral, these cookies are deleted from your computer.

How cookies protect your privacy?
Without cookies, the only way to keep you logged in is by passing a unique id from one page to another. That becomes a security
vulnerability as unauthorized users may be able to duplicate the unique id and impersonate your session. With the help of cookies
a site can hide that unique id inside a cookie on your computer. That prevents others from duplicating the unique id or intruding
into your session.
